"Charis" is the Greek word for "grace," which signifies God's free gift of love and acceptance towards each of us. The Charis Counseling Centers offer a full range of counseling services to clients in Southeastern and Central Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Each of our therapists is a certified mental health professional whose personal faith commitment directly influences the process and goals of counseling. It is our intention that all those we counsel will develop a deeper awareness of God's grace in their lives, as they attempt to resolve the particular emotional, relational, and spiritual problems that they bring to our offices.
Our four major offices are located on the campuses of local Protestant churches. Most of our referrals come through the network of such a Christian environment, but we are happy to receive any individual, couple or family, regardless of their race, color or religious creed. All of our therapists are practicing Christians, representing a wide variety of denominational backgrounds. We have a specific statement of faith which is available upon request.
